On May 31, 2018, Stemnova wrapped up our 10 week Innovation Program at Warm Springs Elementary with a mock build and engineering tournament! After 10 weeks of instruction on events (astronomy, cell biology, oceanography, fossils, chemistry, and epidemiology), students got the chance to apply their knowledge to solve different problems!
Students from grades 4-6 engaged in various activities from: building barges and testing general science knowledge and reflexes through Science Jeopardy to creating egg-drop contraptions and aerodynamic planes. Thank you to The Gifted in Fremont and Warm Springs GATE for making this event a possibility, and moreover, a success!
Warm Springs students along with founder, Isha Sanghvi, network director, Ryan Lee, and Stemnova volunteers, Lucas Melo and Cindy Zhang, celebrate the victorious end of the 10 week Innovation Program.
